and other life lessons from ceramics

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Megan was introduced to ceramics while completing her degree in Communication Design at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design and thoroughly hated it (the mess! the patience! the emotions!) She wandered back to it in 2017 though after 15 years as a graphic designer in search of community and a tactile creative process and found love in the mud (could still do without the mess though...)

She creates wheel-thrown, functional porcelain ware. Her work reframes familiar forms in a minimal way, with warm finishes and quiet details.

Megan lives beside the forest outside Vancouver, BC with her partner, 3 littles and Harold, the refugee pheasant.
